This pneumatic pull though drill was designed and manufactured by CAD for the aerospace industry. It countersinks pre-drilled rivet holes to precise depths during commercial aircraft manufacturing. Every part was precision engineered and manufactured in house except one pneumatic cylinder and the Atlas Copco drill motor. This pneumatic tool features a hydraulic cylinder to control the feed rate and a micro stop that can adjust the repeated countersink depth in .0005 inch increments. The operator inserts a small expandable clamp attached to a wire protruding from the drill nose through a predrilled hole in the aircraft. When the trigger is pulled the clamp flares, gripping the backside of the material, and the carbide countersink is automatically fed to the depth preset on the micro stop. At this point the custom air logic control valve shifts, releasing the clamp and the countersink returns to the starting position. |

This 3-spool, 5-pilot, spring return, air logic control valve is manufactured by CAD to operate a variety of our portable pneumatic tools. Every part of this valve except the o-ring seals are produced in house. Each air valve undergoes a rigorous testing procedure by an experienced technician and is packaged with certification papers to guarantee quality.
